Description

Our goal with Point and Think, a collaborative prototype experiment, is to get as much feedback on the twists we made to the classic #pointandclick adventure genre. The unique aspects of our experimental play are how the player explores thoughts instead of the environment and drags objects to plant them in NPC's thoughts instead of clicking objects to place them in an inventory. The game is an exercise to play with our core mechanic, thought manipulation. Players are able to drag the "idea" of the highlighted object into the NPC's thought bubble. The "idea" associated with each interactive object changes based on the circumstances and the NPC involved. Thoughts are then changed out to manipulate NPC's behavior and actions in order to puzzle solve and progress through a linear interactive story.
