The Circle is a 1st and 3rd person VR adventure game. The game follows Alex, a transgender woman who, after surviving a violent transphobic attack ends up in a wheelchair. The game starts around a a month after the incident. Alex is out of the hospital, traumatised and unable to leave her flat. Isolated and withdrawn, her relationships with friends and family are strained. She begins reading her father's diaries, and becomes obsessed with a subject he was fascinated with toward the end of his life. The game switches between realistic first person segments that deal with Alex' investigation and daily routine, and 3rd person dream sequences relating to her trauma, her past and, eventually, the choices that she makes during the 1st person sequences.

The game is designed to be the smallest narrative sandbox. It never forces the players to do anything they are not interested in. Players can engage with any or none of the game's story strands; they can try to fix their relationship with their family, or focus entirely on the mystery of the tiles or just sit at the desk and listen to the radio while tossing crumpled pieces of paper in a rubbish bin. The game's primary goal is to make you lose yourself; to help you understand what it feels like to be wheelchair bound; to be traumatized or to suffer from gender dysphoria.

We call The Metronomicon... a "Rhythm RPG".
The Metronomicon is a fusion of the high-speed, non-stop, zen-like state of a rhythm/music game with the story-rich loot, leveling, and party building of a full length turn-based RPG.

The game is birthed from two design desires.
1) To simplify an RPG down to its mechanical roots. Boil it down to just what we think makes it fun. Character building, combat, battle, strategy.
2) How do we introduce strategy into the rhythm genre? How can we make player decision matter?

A music game mechanically, every song in The Metronomicon represents the exploration of one wing of a deep dungeon. The foyer of a grand castle... or the top of a dragon's mountain. As the song plays on, an unlimited parade of monstrous enemies assault you, attacking away.

Use your created team of four heroes to fight back, swapping between heroes (each with their own hand-choreographed instrumental track) on the fly, and playing various rhythm patterns to cast your spells.
Need a cure? Hop over to the white mage and play a quick beat. Need a nuke? Jam over to the Black Mage, and play as long a streak as you can. Buff worn off? Pay a quick musical visit to the Paladin.

It's like... if Rock Band were for one-man bands... and every member of the band liked swords.

Adam's life is so tragically sad... Like honestly, it needs to be shaken up a bit. It's in need of some action, some turmoil, some gusto, and you what, I think it's going to get some. And since I made this video game, that is not only a mere prediction but the actual, real deal truth (sorry for the spoiler)! I mean, that's just the way life is right? One day you're just living out your quiet depressing life, with every moment bathed in monotony, and the next thing you know - KA-BLAMO - you're not even in control of making your own decisions! What, that's never happened to you, you say? Oh, just you wait mister/miss, cause you're about to get a whole new perspective on society (or just the feeling that this game was solely meant to justify an edgy millennial teen's angst).

Btw I think I might recommend playing without headphones... Mine mess up the sound a bit :(

Have fun (I hope)!

Ted and Molly are together. Ted feels a connection to Molly wherever he looks. But, how do they both really see the relationship? See each other? "Thing-in-Itself" is an interactive short story about the struggles of understanding another human being. Using Immanuel Kant's concept as a framework, it leads the player through stages of a relationship, exploring how perceptions may clash and surroundings can alter. With an average walkthrough time of 15 minutes, "Thing-in-Itself" is not a game in a traditional sense – it doesn't have win or lose conditions and doesn't present challenge to the player. With this project, Party for Introverts attempts to establish a connection between the mediums of game and short story, reworking the possibilities when narrative and interactivity merge.

Tormentor X Punisher is an over-the-top twin-stick arena shooter. It is violence distilled into a tight experience with a lot of depth. It's metal as hell.

Tormentor X Punisher comes from the brilliantly deranged mind of Joonas Turner, a guy all too familiar with games involving shooting things including Nuclear Throne, Downwell, and Broforce. He has lent his talent for sound design to these pillars of the indie community and now he's taking the next step by designing an entire game instead of sound.

Demons. Bosses. Bullets. Combos. Mayhem. One hit point. Start over.

In the middle of a blizzard, a community's remaining citizens are forced to confront their impending deaths. Every night, a villager is killed, and the survivors are forced to alter their course in response. Chart a path through always-changing, challenging environmental puzzles, and explore the stories and grief of these townsfolk before Vidar is lost forever.

In Vidar, every villager has heavily interdependent relationships with the others. When one person dies, everyone else's stories change - if the blacksmith loses her apprentice, she'll give you different quests; if the blacksmith loses her supplier, still different; and if she predeceases both, then those two will respond accordingly, etc. Because the order of deaths is *random,* the story and quests you receive will be different every time you play.

To stop the killings you'll need to enter a puzzle dungeon - think Zelda, but without the combat. Use your tools and your environment to help navigate to the center of the cave before everyone in town is dead. These puzzles are also randomly chosen from a bank of hundreds, so that when you come back to see a new story unfold, you'll also face a new challenge.

'what do we do' is a minimalist asymmetrical coop platformer with typography elements, made in Unity engine. It features the letters 'd' and 'o' as its characters.

Each of these two characters have a different set of abilities that the other one lacks or is weak in. 'o' runs faster and jumps higher, while 'd' has the ability to crouch and squeeze himself to go under narrow spaces and also can give 'o' a boost to jump higher. The game is about word puzzles that the player[s] has to trigger and solve with the help of these two letters; as there are unfinished words with different functionalities that the player has to fill with either 'd' or 'o' to form a complete and meaningful word to advance in the game. The other important mechanic is the hidden platforms and words in shadows and lights; by switching the lights on and off, the player can find these elements.

Wrecked: Get Your Ship Together is the living room party game for VR.

VR has some incredible games that are fully immersive for the one in the headset. But everyone else in the room sits around bored, waiting for their turn. We decided to make a game where those bystanders become active participants. We took cues from Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes, but instead of having a manual, everyone gets their own digital game.
The core cooperative mechanic involves a series of instructions. Both Vive player and mobile players receive instructions and buttons on their devices. They must carry them out before a timer expires. However, the buttons for one person's instructions are likely on another's device. So users must communicate back and forth in order to complete them.

This provides an atmosphere of playful chaos and shouting. With our game, someone with a headset can invite their friends over to engage in a party experience, not just a spectacle.

Our game also offers a new mechanic for transportation in VR.
While players are physically sitting, they're digitally sitting in their hovercraft. In this mode, they can fly around world-scale planets. When they reach abandoned ships, they can dock with them and physically stand up, thus exiting their cockpit and entering a space where they can experience room-scale VR.
