The Moonlighters

School: University of Southern California, Interactive Media Division

Creator: Rad Dragon

Game Website: http://moonlightersgame.com

Description:
The Moonlighters is a Heist Action RPG set in the glamorous world of '50s Hollywood. Take control of hipcat entertainers who resort to pulling heists when their fame and success fade under the shadow of Rock & Roll.

The Moonlighters uses this same storytelling structure as a real heist movie. You jump back and forth between the night before each heist ? as the team makes a plan and you assign roles to each team member ? and the next day when you pull the actual job. Each character in the cast uses 2 special abilities:

One comes from their skill as a performer (e.g. the Singer sings, the Illusionist hypnotizes people).

The other comes from the heist role you assign them (e.g. the Conman slows time, the mechanic uses a hookshot)

Using this system, players can mix and match abilities they want most for each task in the heist. Outsmart and outmaneuver guards and security systems to grab the goods and get out! Or, you know, join the party for a little while. What's the rush?
