1916 Der unbekannte Krieg (The National Academy of Digital, Interactive Entertainment )

Experience the horror and senselessness of war. The enemy constantly hidden in the fog ready to pounce. Fatigue and shellshock distorting your movement and ability. The stress of uncertainty and adrenaline of chase followed by attack. Here, salvation is the blinding epileptic bombardment of the battlefield.

A Closed World (Singapore-MIT GAMBIT Game Lab)

Have you ever been so frustrated, so fed up with where you are, that you just want to throw it all away and run off to somewhere new? In A Closed World you play as a young person who has decided to do exactly that. This console RPG-like game puts you in the shoes of a young resident of a village just outside a forest that everyone says is a place of no return. Supposedly home to hungering demons and a beast that would destroy the village, the forest is forbidden and nobody knows what's on the other side. However, our hero's beloved -- tired of the oppressive attitude of the villagers -- decided to go there, as anywhere would be better than home. Now it's your turn to follow after. Are you willing to risk everything to find out what's on the other side?

A Course of Action ACOA (Savannah College of Art and Design)

ACOA is a single player classic style arcade shooter. You play as a lone ship in a simulation that is humanity’s last hope of survival. With only one attempt to attack the entirely unknown alien space fortress you must use this simulation to find the best possible way into the fortress. Manipulation devices will help you on your next attempt at the fortress. Death is not the end of the simulation; it is only a wrong answer.

A Flipping Good Time (DigiPen Institute of Technology)

A Flipping Good Time is a fast-paced free-flowing 2D platformer. Flip and fly through an expansive underground world using the fluid nature of gravity to avoid the hazardous terrain. With challenging obstacles, exhilarating mine cart rides, an immersive environment, rewarding collectibles, and entertaining levels with unlockable bonus levels, A Flipping Good Time is just that: A Flipping Good Time.

A Pixel Escape (Politecnico di Milano)

Everything is relative: for a little pixel even a simple image can be a huge world to explore! A Pixel Escape is a first-person puzzle action game that puts you in the role of Pixel, a small hero with a big dream: escape from the monitor where he is forced to live. You will feel like you're actually inside a computer monitor, as every level of A Pixel Escape is generated from a normal bitmap image... But you won't be alone in your quest to find a way out: your avatar friend will be on the other side of the monitor glass and will guide you! You can destroy the pixels that compose the image or create new ones using your RGB energy; you will have to fight the evil pixels that lurk in the darkness and use your special powers to overtake the many challenges you will have to face. Every pixel in the game will have a different behaviour that depends on its color: red pixels explode, pink ones float while gray collapse down, and so on... It's up to you to use the color properties of each pixel...

A planet named Urth (Politehnica University of Bucharest)

Part puzzle game, part abstract platformer (A planet named) Urth is a game about a planet running away.

Players may either complete levels by achieving goals or can compete in escape mode to get the highest score. Additionally they can create their own levels to share with the community.

Adynatopia, from the Greek words for "Impossible Space" is just that, a series of 14 impossible spaces that you must navigate your way through by unconventional means.

Aporkalypse is an action adventure physics sandbox in which the player assumes the role of the Big Bad Wolf. The tyrannical porcine regime is expanding their nefarious empire and encroaching upon your lands. Using your skills of huffing, puffing, and blowing things down, it's up to you to confront this encroaching menace and lead the revolution against the evil swine.

Aquaphobia Mutant Brain Sponge Madness (University of Advancing Technology)

Aquaphobia: Mutant Brain Sponge Madness is a colorful, fast-paced, 2D side-scrolling action platformer game about Gibby, a Caribbean brain sponge (a real species: Geodia gibberosa), which has been subjected to bizarre experiments by the deranged Dr. Jack Harbor.

Although he isn’t aware of it, Gibby lives in a science lab aquarium. As a result of the mad doctor’s ministrations, Gibby has awakened from his slumber and discovered he can now move about his environment in quite extraordinary ways. Many exciting discoveries await him—who he is, what he is doing here, and where he is going. You know, the big questions that every mutant brain sponge must answer.

Arthur and the Sword of Kings (Trenton Central High School)

Arthur and the Sword of Kings is an RPG where players experience the story of King Arthur's origins.

Asterion (ENJMIN)

Asterion is an interactive work which is freely inspired by one of Borgès’ short stories called “The House of Asterion”. It offers the player to live a loss of territory through the death throes of the narrator.

The purpose is to use elements of the videoludic grammar, such as a combat system of hand-to-hand fight, as well as sound and visual experiments in order to give the player the feeling of being invaded in his private world.

Logically, the camera is in first person and the vision and the point of listening of the player correspond to those of the avatar.

The system of control gets closer to classic First Person Shooter. The player can move with his keyboard and give some blows with the mouse button activating the avatar’s hand.

Asterism (Rochester Institute of Technology)

Asterism is about exploring the characteristics of multiple parallel worlds. The player is tasked with switching between two worlds in a platforming environment to collect stars and solve puzzles. This is an unfinished build.

Astral (School of Information Technology, Murdoch University)

Astral is a story-driven puzzle game based on the concept of ‘astral projection’. The player assumes control of a ‘subtle body’ (a spiritual body separate to that of the physical body), which can travel through two ‘planes of existence’, interacting with different objects in each. The idea is for the player to switch between these two ‘layers’ in order to solve the various puzzles and progress the story. ‘Astral’ tells the story of someone who’s ‘subtle body’ becomes lost (the ‘silver cord’ connecting their subtle body to their physical body has been broken). Essentially, the player must collect the pieces of the broken ‘silver cord’ and find their way back to their physical body.

Baking Town (China University of Technology)

The royal baker is so old that he is going to retire. Therefore, he is looking for a person who can inherit his skills. Players has to learn all kind of breads to succeed the royal baker.

Ballin (Humber College)

Ballin is a two-dimensional physics-based puzzle game with a unique twist, where the player must navigate a ball through a level of dangerous blocks in order to reach the portal key. However, the player cannot move the ball directly. In order to navigate the level, you must alter the world's gravity, allowing the ball to move through the level on its own.

Balloon Knights (Carnegie Mellon University)

Princess Melanie is trapped at the top of Carnegie Tower! Can you be the first knight to pump up enough balloons to save her and win her heart?

Ballumis (Utrecht School of the Arts)

Ballumis is a mixture between a casual, retro and arcade game. It's your task to help the three heroes collect all the shards, while defusing bombs and dodging enemies and various other hazards. The game contains 10 different levels and requires Flash player 10.0 or higher to run.

Battle Of Sarawak (Limkokwing University of Creative Technology)

A fast paced, third person action shooter using magic and ancient weapons.The purpose of the game is to defend your village and try to destroy your opponents village. There are 5 different classes to choose. Each of these classess have been carefully designed so they are both balanced and unique.

Be Good (DigiPen Institute of Technology)

Be Good is the story of Donald Martin, an ordinary boy from the American suburbs. Point-and-click
your way around Donald's Claymation world and smile or frown at the characters you meet to find
just how much life can change based on your decisions.

Bermuda Pirate (Academy of Interactive Entertainment)

Arr! You've been ship wrecked and washed ashore in the Bermuda Triangle!

Make use of your land legs! Explore mysterious islands, solve puzzles and collect treasure to rebuild your pirate ship!

Bermuda Pirate is an adventure game being developed by a group of Year 2 students at Academy of Interactive Entertainment's Sydney campus.

Betty The Bee (UPC)

3D Action-platforms game in third person view based on an insect world.

The player controls a little bee named Betty to help her in the task of saving her hive.

This is a demo game (only two levels) made with UDK.

Beyond (ENJMIN)

The player controls a bubble using the triggers (to inflate and deflate it) and the left joystick gives the direction while deflating the bubble. This put the player under constant challenge in order to master the movement of the bubble. Difficulties and challenges can be very diversified! Wind, rain, moving objects� Can all become challenge factors!

The game will feature calm moments, dedicated to build the relationship between the unknown character inside the bubble (a soul on its way to heaven) and the player, who has to take care of it. The character features different emotional states which the player will need to master to get to the end of the journey. These emotions will have an impact on the gameplay; the player has to adapt his playing style depending on the reactions of the character to the situation or environment.

Beyond The Veil (UAT)

2D platform puzzle game. In the game you play a witch that can open portals. The portals can be projected on to a wall or opened in the air. The portal allows objects and environmental effects to go through it.

Bird Smash Pro (Dougherty Valley High School)

Your village was destroyed by ruthless birds. As the last remaining blue pig, you must seek the revenge! Destroy as many birds as possible!

BlackSheep (NIIT Ghana)

Blank (Full Sail University)

Blank is a 2.5D platformer that has players take control of Blank, a polymorphic creature that must utilize absorbed animal abilities to navigate environmental puzzles and obstacles to progress through an abandoned lab.
The goal of Blank is to have players navigate through environmental puzzles while defeating enemies and avoiding hazards. Each room features a new layout to navigate, and each section of rooms features a new power that must be utilized, either separate from the other powers or in combination with them. Ultimately, the player will progress through the entire laboratory and escape, earning freedom in the process.
