Orpheus Down (The Anigraphical Etudes®)

Orpheus Down is a 3D interactive music video game for live concert performance in which the Alto Saxophonist adopts the character of Brenlis (Orpheus) torn between his true love, music, and Anithea (Eurydice) who has succumbed to the bite of a serpent. Brenlis who’s legendary musical abilities are so great he is able to animate objects and sway the gods, travels by way of the mystical rocky crags of the Sirenum Scopuli and enters into the Underworld after gaining passage past the mythical Sirens who reside there and woo mariners to their demise with haunting melismas.

The game, played by the performer on stage and projected for the audience, alternates navigation and discovery with solo sections in a manner that all accompaniment is procedural/algorithmic and no two performances are ever the same. The audience is given a window into the performer’s decision making process and visual handles with which to follow the contemporary score.

PaintScape (Jonathan Powell Productions)

Introducing PaintScape - an exuberant blend of art and game. PaintScape uses hand-painted art to create a vivid world for you to navigate. Defeat over 100 enemy varieties across seven unique worlds. Upgrade your player's weapons, shields, and abilities as well as acquire bombs and force fields to help overcome the black and white world!

Parallax (Toasty Games)

Parallax is an interdimensional platforming and puzzle-solving game. The goal in each level is to reach the exit by travelling between two overlapping dimensions through rifts. Interactive objects in the level include boost pads and switches that rotate the rifts. Parallax challenges the player to think beyond the spatial boundaries of traditional platformers.

Pattern (Team U.S.E.D.)

Pattern is a game designed to teach the player basic terminology and understanding of crochet as a craft. The game presents crochet concepts in a fun and colorful world where the player crochets lost objects to mend the hearts of NPCs. Pattern came from gender-inclusive game design roots and was designed specifically to not punish or stress the player by using things such as timers. Instead, the player must use colors of yarn that the NPCs find appropriate for the object being created. For example, a black flower or a gray crayon would seem dull, depressing, and unsatisfying for the NPCs who request them.

One of the game's primary purposes is to provide a crochet-like experience beyond what's on the screen. Pattern utilizes the Xbox 360 controller's misaligned analog sticks to place the player's fingers in as close a way to handling yarn and hook as possible. A microphone-controlled, co-op space shooter.

Both players control a single avatar.

One player controls the blaster using short sounds (like "pew pew" or "pop pop"), and sets off bombs by yelling loudly.

The other player controls the jetpack by making any noise.

The sounds are processed and played back as humorous sound effects.

Picnic Mayhem (Gamebrausch)

About Picnic Mayhem:

Picnic Mayhem introduces the Everhungries, a bunch of cuddly creatures with an insatiable hunger. The player controls two of those little buddies and has to feed them with meat, cake and other tasty things, but be aware that they don't care too much for healthy food like apples or bananas. Also avoid those nasty bombs and bloodchoppers or they will bring your picnic to a gory end. Perform combo jumps to boost the gained score and collect golden coins to enter all-you-can-eat bonus levels. Advance through different levels with increasing pace and difficulty to beat the highscore.

Or to make a long story short: Jump, eat, avoid fruit and bombs and stay hungry!

Poi Boy 2 (Academy of Art University)

PoiBoy 2 is a PC game created with the Unity game engine. The game uses only the motion of the mouse for input and precision. In PoiBoy 2, a mighty poi dancer defends his tribe from vicious invading spirits using his flaming poi ball. The player dances the tribesman around as the poi ball follows and twirls around him, acting as a swirling offensive and defensive weapon. Project Zomboid (The Indie Stone)

Project Zomboid is an open-ended zombie-infested sandbox being developed Minecraft-style for PC, Linux and (with a degree of fiddling) Mac. It asks one simple question how will you die? Whether surviving in Knox County free-roam or controlling Indie Stone mascot Baldspot in his quest to save his injured wife Kate death is always a certainty. Quite how long gamers manage to put it off is another matter.

The game is funded by would-be survivors paying for a key that will guarantee them access to Knox County throughout its development. Despite a recent set back after an office break-in we are currently building towards our second major update which will add in NPC survivor activity. After that we will be doubling the size of the map and adding in a saving facility.
