Synaesthesia - noun. A sensation produced in one modality when a stimulus is applied to another modality, as when the hearing of a certain sound induces the visualization of a certain color.

Synaesthete is a music-driven arcade-style shooter which seeks to engage the senses with a synergy of light, color, and sound. Synaesthete creates a harmony between player actions and in-game music, in a way that each influences the other. The rhythm and flow of the music is expressed in every detail of the game so that the visual and audio are not two experiences, but one.

Tasty Static is a jump-and-dodge racing game where players are thrown into a dimension full of glowy lines, shiny platforms, and ominously large cubes. Players have to contend with gravity, momentum, and time as they maneuver a hover craft across obstacle courses containing tunnels, explosive circuits, and other electronic oddities.

It is a network strategy game for two players. Form of the game is based on TCG(Trading Card Game) rules. Players can make their own deck and each player has to defeat opponent with many kinds of magic in their own decks.

TenXion
Singapore-MIT GAMBIT Game Lab

TenXion is an asymmetric multiplayer third-person shooter designed to assist with artificial intelligence research. One player controls a robot fighting to escape a prison and his mutant captors, and other players control mutants trying to bring the robot down. The robot wins by reaching the exit to the level, while the mutants win if the robot is destroyed before it escapes.

Players take turns controlling the robot, while mutants can die and respawn any number of times, with their respawn points shifting as the robot advances through the level. As the game's research goal is to take the choices which players make and use those choices to train an AI system, those players who are controlling mutants have a variety of characters and strategic options at their command, allowing for many different styles of play. The game is fast-paced, with each session taking 2-3 minutes or less, and is most enjoyable with 3 or more players.

A highly tactical real-time strategy game focused on maneuver, interception and territorial control, through a free form control interface.

Conquer the battlefield by building nodes to form triangular zones that cover the map-- change the rules of engagement within your territories by altering the properties of your zones.

Force enemies backward by firing at and charging at them -- push, block and grind your enemies to dust into or against a variety of natural obstacles, or your own damage-dealing zones.

The Illogical Journey of Orez

I like it because it has giant mouths, and carrots and bunnies who watch television. Indeed this game may even teach you math (but you won't realize it until its too late)! The Illogical Journey of Orez effectively employs game design and educational principles to enhance media literacy and improve the intuitive understanding of complex middle-school (secondary school) math concepts. The challenge: develop puzzles that give players hands-on experience with the concepts of addition and subtraction of positive and negative numbers, using real world examples instead of numbers.

The Misadventures of P.B. Winterbottom
University of Southern California- School of Cinematic Arts- Interactive Media Program

The Misadventures of P.B Winterbottom is a game set in an early silent film world that plays with temporal space. Through exploration of non-conventional time mechanics, players will experience gameplay in an entirely new way. The game gives the player the ability to record and playback their actions multiple times. An experiment in exploring layered gameplay and altering physical reality, the games gives the player the ability to create time paradoxes.

Encounter obstacles form multiple perspectives, race past selves, sacrifice your present self so future selves can survive, choreograph motion with your self, disrupt the space-time continuum, and steal tons of pie in this fast paced, quirky, macabre adventure. The Misadventures of P.B. Winterbottom presents game design with the user's creativity in mind, allowing them to play through levels however they see fit. The goals are set, but the way to achieve them is up to the user.

Thrive
Art Institute of Las Vegas

An Action/adventure game set in a world called Nevaeh, a planet where there are no humans and sentient animals rule. An alien threat enters the world of Nevaeh, and Thrive, a Gorilla warrior, must embark on a quest to save the world. Along the way Thrive will explore varied landscapes and face off against nightmarish alien creatures. Players will fight through hordes of enemies as they discover Thrive's backstory, and lead him on to his future. Thrive is a Single-Player game built using the Unreal 2 engine and was developed over nine months as part of the Art Institute's "Team Production" series of courses.

Thunder-Flash

MISSION: Soldier, as part of Operation Thunder-Flash you are to be deployed to a small, war torn French town just shy of the French-German border. This town has seen its fair share of war and it shows. The streets are littered with debris. The buildings are marred by bullet holes and explosions, and the inhabitants have all fled, leaving behind a half destroyed monument to the war. This town must be recaptured at all costs. You will face fierce resistance from the enemy, and must use every building and every piece of cover to advance inch by inch through the town to recapture it. This will be one of the hardest battles we have faced, but it will be crucial to driving our enemies to defeat.

Titan Racers
California State University Fullerton

Titan racers is a racing game created for the 50th anniversary of CSUF. The course you race through is the Titan Student Union building at CSUF and you need to complete 3 laps to finish the game. The characters you can select are all Tuffies, also known as the mascots of CSUF. Each Tuffy has a theme that represents one of the 8 colleges at CSUF, and each Tuffy has it's own unique special power. In order to activate your special power you have to collect the floating oranges and create mayhem with the touch of a single button!

Tormishire
University of Salford

Tormishire is a low resolution 2D platformer that revolves around the adventures of 2 characters. To differenciate itself from other games, Tormishire will utilise a procedurally generated story, giving the player depth as to the outcome of the game. To enhance the number of variations in the game the player can even select between using a gun or alternative attack methods.
The game makes use of traditional and experimental gameplay, and has been developed around ease of use to attract casual gamers too.

Toy Play
Department of Multimedia and Animation Arts ,National Taiwan University of Arts

Toy Play"i s a creation for 3D battle game of subject matter with Taiwan traditional toys. Using the background right after World War II in Taiwan, all of the weapons in this 3D battle game are derived from traditional toys. Acts as one of the popular cartoon stars appeared in the 60’s of Taiwan, fighting with each other to compete for winning the appellation “The King of Kids”.

The visual art of the game utilizes 3D simulation of 2D paper style, it shows the feature of paper’s property like the paper dolls, creating a cute funny paper style game world.

Toybox Heroes

Toybox Heroes is a Half-Life 2 mod that takes its cues from such games as Super Smash Bros. and Power Stone. Designed in the style of console fighting games, Toybox Heroes is meant to be played on a single screen with Playstation 2 style controllers.

The game takes action figures and pits them in gladiatorial combat against one another. Players battle in four real-world environments: a sandbox, an attic, a doll house, and a garage sale. At this miniscule height, everything is a weapon. Sticks and crayons become swords, jacks and Rubik's Cubes are hurled with deadly accuracy, and barbecue grills become deadly traps.

Players select choose from one of four characters: The Bomb (an arrogant super hero whose biggest fan is himself); Major Danger (a no-nonsense army man back from his latest tour of duty); Princess Manda (a Valkyrie warrior who is more than a dress-up doll); and Techni-Cow (a transforming bovine android from the bottom of the dollar bin).

Viathan

Viathan is a first person action adventure game set in an alien creature. The player's goal is to escape from Viathan while exploring the creature at the same time. The player's primary weapon the Debilitator is used not only as a weapon but as a means to interact with the environment. The weapon can be used to destroy obstacles that the player encounters and also help the player navigate certain areas of Viathan. Through exploration the player will encounter many different creatures, some of which have been trapped in this creature for decades, and now make it their home.

Wiip is a PC-based casual game which explores the concept of interactivity through usage of an expressive physical interface such as the Nintendo Wii controller. Historically, the mouse and the joystick have been the dominant controllers for video games, requiring small hand movements and the pressing of buttons. The Wii controller's new technology allows for greater freedom of expression through physical movements, letting players mimic actions such as swinging a sword, casting a fishing rod, or using a whip. Actions that previously had to be abstracted out into the form of pressing a button are...

Zenek Zombie is a platform game with elements of adventure and role play.
Player takes a role of Zenek who is looking for his kidnapped wife. He
walks through the world full of enemies collecting money and diamonds.
You can use money to buy some healing potions, buy new lives, gain higher
magic level. Diamonds can be also gathered by finishing quests throughout
the game.

Programmed in only three months, Ziggurat Six runs on a custom engine and uses an original blend of science fiction and fantasy to create an immersive experience.

You are the last defender against an endless wave of alien invaders. The Space Force military fleet is locked in combat with the alien motherships orbiting your planet. All other soldiers have been killed. Without you, the space colonies that rely on the Ziggurat for power will be destroyed. The longer you hold out, the more time you allow for refugees to escape. Armed with three upgradeable plasma-based weapons, you must avoid stationary hazards like auto-defense turrets and sudden drops while killing off the invasion force in two unique levels.
